Parlee Z2

After a couple of terrific sessions at Bespoke Cycling with Barry Scott, I’ve decided to go for a Parlee Z2 as my new bike for next year.  I’ve been measured up and have paid a deposit.  There’s no going back now!

It will look a little like this

Understated splendour.  It will be kitted out with SRAM Red.

Roll on the spring!

This is fab. As you may know, I have had a Parlee Z4 for a couple of years now. It is supreme. I can’t think of a better bike for when it all really matters. What wheels?

    Well played. No excuses now…

Barry is a decent chap, you know he lives in Petts Wood? I have been for a couple of rides with him, but he is quite elusive.

Training for this years Marmotte has now started. Got to have some incentive for this sh*tty weather.

    Hi. Nearly Happy New Year!

I might never understand the difference between the Z(1-5)s, despite Barry explain patiently several times.

Regards wheels I’m going to stick with the Dura Ace clinchers I bought last year. At least for the time being – it’s enabled me to spend a little more on the bike than planned. However, ask that question again in May and you might get a different answer :-) .

Elusive rider exposes another elusives rider is the headline :-) .

Marmotte. Awesome. Have you arranged hotels and the like? Any target in mind? Having done some reasonable performances in ’09, I’m already feeling the pressure for ’10 :-) .

The Z2 is the custom US made version, I have the basic made in China with the same materials version. I have those Dura Ace clinchers too, I think they are the business.

Re the Marmotte, too early to say. If I got close to 8 hours I would be happy. But who knows on the day. All I know is that it cannot be as bad as the ride I did in 07, which is easily my worst ever performance on two wheels.

Perhaps we can catch up for a ride in 2010, although I am trying to stick to steady base miles at present.
